Photographer & Software Engineer · Tagaytay, Cavite, Philippines

Photography runs in my blood. Capturing a moment, a face, a landscape, a meal shared with someone, pulls me back to life in a way that writing code never quite does.

By day I am a software engineer. I build Flutter applications and work with APIs. The kind of work that lives behind screens and inside logic. It is precise, methodical, and I love it. But photography is where I breathe. It forces me outside. It demands I notice things. It makes me present in a way that a keyboard never could.

I am based in Tagaytay, Cavite. A place that has given me more frames than I can count. The cool air, the ridge views, the fog rolling in over Taal Lake. I grew up here and I keep finding new reasons to keep shooting here.

Places

Most of my best frames have come from places that do not make travel lists. Tagaytay at 5 AM before the tourists arrive. The road to Governor Generoso in Davao Oriental. A place I did not expect to change how I see things, and yet it did.

I do local vacations. I hike. I find places within reach of where I am and I shoot them properly, instead of chasing somewhere far away. There is something honest about photographing the place you actually live in. Most people miss what is already around them. I am trying not to be one of those people.

This Site

I built Open Lens Life because I wanted a place to document what I see. Not a portfolio. Not a personal brand. Just a record of places visited, food eaten, events witnessed, and gear that helped or failed me along the way.

I am a cum laude graduate and Scholar of the Year from the City College of Tagaytay. I read books that make me uncomfortable. I plan trips I sometimes do not take. I stay curious about most things and try to document the ones that actually happen.

Everything on this site is written and shot by me. If something you read here helps you take a better photo, plan a better trip, or simply reminds you to go outside, that is more than enough.
